sii soprattutto giovane e lieto,
Se sei giovane, qualsiasi vita

assumerai diventerà te;e se lieto
tutto ciò che vive diverrà te stesso.
A ragazzeragazzi serviranno ragazziragazze;
io so assolutamente amare solo

colei che misteriosa riveste d'infinito
la carne dell'uomo; e nella sua mente il tempo

annulla a che mai pensi,dio non voglia
e(misericordioso)protegga chi ti ama;
qui sta sapienza,la tomba del feto detto
progresso,e della negazione il morto nonfato.
Preferirei imparare a cantare da un solo uccello
che insegnare a diecimila stelle a non danzare.

and (in his mercy) your true lover spare:
for that way knowledge lies,the foetal grave
called progress,and negation's dead undoom.

than teach ten thousand stars how not to dance
